Campaign Engine Guide

How To Use Campaign Engine

Nine guided steps take a campaign from a written brief to exported, platform-safe creative. Pull source material from DVP Vault, generate or hand off AI drafts, edit every slide, check safe areas, export the pack, and save it back to Vault as campaign memory.

Fast path: Brief → References → import a DVP Vault packet → Generate (AI Brain) or Quick Start → set Format and Template → edit each slide → Check safe areas → Export → Save Pack To Vault.

01The nine steps

The tab strip groups the workflow into four phases. You can jump between steps at any time — nothing is locked, and your work autosaves as you go.

  1. Plan — 01 Brief and 02 References capture intent and source material.
  2. Create — 03 Generate (AI Brain), 04 Quick Start (starter packs), 05 Format, and 06 Template build the draft.
  3. Refine — 07 Edit reworks each slide; 08 Check inspects safe areas, copy, flow, CTA, and export readiness.
  4. Ship — 09 Export produces graphics, copy, prompts, and scene plans, then saves the pack to Vault.

The readiness bar near the top turns green as the brief, references, draft, and export path each become usable.

02Brief & References

The Brief stage is the campaign's source of intent. Both the AI Brain and the local draft use this context, so keep it plain and practical: what is being promoted, who it is for, what action should happen, and what must be included.

The References stage holds source links, approved assets, required copy, must-include notes, things to avoid, and visual direction — either typed in directly or imported from a DVP Vault packet.

03DVP Vault packets

In DVP Vault, select approved records and click Copy For Campaign Engine. Paste that text into the References stage, then click Import Vault Packet.

Campaign Engine reads the packet into reference links, source assets, required copy, must-include notes, avoid notes, and visual direction. This is how the app builds on approved memory instead of starting cold.

04Generate & Quick Start

The Generate (AI Brain) stage has three modes:

Free Local DraftNo API key and no provider charge. Uses the app's built-in draft logic.
Manual HandoffNo DVP charge. Builds a clean prompt for ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney, Runway, or another tool.
Direct AIUses your own BYOK key and may be billed by your provider account.

Direct AI returns Campaign Engine JSON and imports it into editable slides. Manual handoff keeps the same editable import path: paste the returned JSON into the LLM JSON box and click Import AI Draft.

Prefer to skip generation? The Quick Start stage loads a ready-made starter pack you can edit immediately.

05Format & Template

The Format stage sets the canvas size and safe area — Instagram portrait, square, story, and other presets, or a custom width and height. Safe-area guides show where titles, logos, and CTAs need to stay for each platform.

The Template stage picks the visual treatment applied across the pack, so every slide stays on-brand.

06Edit & slide AI

The Edit stage reworks the pack slide by slide. Nothing generated is locked. An Active Slide AI panel helps with a single slide without regenerating the whole campaign:

  • Rewrite slide copy tightens the title and supporting line.
  • Improve CTA focuses the action.
  • Generate image prompt writes a visual prompt for image models.
  • Runway scene prompt writes video direction for that slide.
  • Remotion scene plan writes motion and layout direction for a rendered scene.

Apply AI Edit uses your OpenAI key. Handoff Prompt produces copyable instructions with no DVP charge.

07Check

The Check stage inspects the pack before export: safe areas, required copy, slide flow, CTA presence, and export readiness. Items flip from a warning state to ready as each condition is satisfied, and quick fixes are offered where the app can apply them for you.

08Export & Save

The Export stage produces the finished outputs:

  • Current Slide, Current Format, and Full Multi-Format Pack export visual assets.
  • Campaign Copy Pack builds captions, hashtags, slide notes, alt text, and posting notes.
  • Image Prompts creates an image-model prompt pack; Midjourney creates a prompt handoff pack.
  • Runway JSON exports a scene pack for video planning; Remotion JSON exports a scene plan with composition size, frame timing, text, visuals, and layout.

When the pack is approved, click Save Pack To Vault. Campaign Engine opens DVP Vault and sends the editable project, copy pack, creative tool pack, Runway scene pack, and Remotion plan as a finished pack record. The browser Vault saves it locally first; once approved, export Vault JSON and commit the canonical update so the memory becomes part of the website's source of truth.

09Shortcuts & autosave

Your project autosaves to this browser a moment after every change — the status chip in the header shows Saving… then Saved. The work is also flushed when you switch tabs or close the page. Nothing leaves your machine; saving is local to this browser.

10Keys & cost

Local Draft and handoff prompts do not call a paid API from DVP. Direct AI features use BYOK — your key stays in your browser, and your provider may charge your own account for model usage.

Use Local Draft and Handoff for free planning. Use Direct AI when you want the app to call a model and import structured results automatically.
